This was important enough for Frisk to respond via video to. They were in the middle of chowing down on a snack with their Vaikunthan History tutor (Papyrus couldn't teach them everything, after all) when they got the call, so they excused themself to respond to it.

"Oh my god, that's great! Now," they take on an impish smile. "What were her exact words?"

GOOD EVENING, PAPYRUS! IT'S BEEN A BIT. SAVING THE WORLD'S BEEN QUITE A TASK, HASN'T IT?

Frisk looks at Papyrus, eyebrow raised. For being incredibly intelligent, he could also be extraordinarily thick sometimes. "Yeah, dude. Hate to break it to you, but that's super a real, actual date," Frisk says, winking. "Might wanna wear your best clothes for this, sounds like she's serious.

Frisk hisses through their teeth. On the one hand, they want to mess with Papyrus a little bit. Just a little. On the other... this was obviously super important to him. So they sigh and nod. "Yeah. There aren't any golden pineapples for this one, Pap. Just.." they run a hand through their hair, thinking. "I know this is difficult to believe, but I'm not exactly an expert on the matter of dates. So take any advice I give with more than a grain of salt. But... follow your heart. Seriously, I know it's super cheesy, but the fact that you've managed to catch Maddi's eye at all is pretty freakin' impressive. She likes you because you're you. "I mean, it's hard to think of anything more you than a hoverboard, besides scientific spaghetti." Frisk flashes Papyrus a reassuring smile. Despite their earlier reservations about Madhuri, they trusted her now. Being trapped on an airship captured by pirates together will do that to people. They snap their fingers, struck by a flash of inspiration. "Hey, maybe take her on a tour of the city on your hoverboard? Maybe sing a musical number together? Okay that second part was a joke, but that might work."

"WELL, MADHURI DOES LIKE TO SING, BUT... WELL. I'M NOT CERTAIN I HAVE THE SAME FINESSE! THOUGH THE FLYING IS A GOOD IDEA. VERY GOOD."

Frisk thinks on that for a moment, brow furrowed. That... was a good question. They weren't exactly the authority on Vaikuntha's best date night spots. But, well... Looking back up at Papyrus, Frisk smiles and says, "How 'bout this: I'll take Asriel and Frisk out bowling or something, and you and Maddi can have the house to yourself. That sound good? Heck, I might be able to put together my own little Starlight celebration."

"OHO! HOW CLEVER. THOUGH I'LL DEFINITELY MAKE CLEAR WHERE YOUR ROOMS ARE SO WE DON'T IMPEDE. He pauses, stroking his chin. "SPEAKING OF WHICH, WE SHOULD PROBABLY DECORATE. NOT JUST FOR THE DATE, BUT TO GET INTO THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT!!!"

"Yeah! That'll be so--" The lalafell behind them coughs, and they smile sheepishly. "I've proooobably gotta get back to the lesson so I don't waste my teach's time. We'll talk more later, 'kay? Bye, Pap!" With that, they wave like a total dork and end the call.
